Lalith Kotelawala, 8 other Golden Key officials remanded further

Chairman of Golden Key Credit Card Company Lalith Kotelawala and eight other directors have been further remanded.

Mt. Lavinia chief magistrate Harsha Sethunga today (Jul. 02) took up a case in which these nine have been accused of defrauding millions of rupees of money belonging to depositors of the company.

Making submissions, the CID informed the court that they had searched a glass room within the private room of the wife of the chairman, Cecile Kotelawala who is presently abroad.

A detailed report on this will be submitted to the court on July 16, the CID said.
